and make connections for healthy living in a variety of settings and situations. They provide an extending
and enriching curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

in our hands-on classes!

To ensure that every child has a chance to fully participate in the activities, the maximum number of students per class is 30. Class Time: Workshops run approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and are subject to change. Please advise us on any restrictions or allergies in the classroom.

Kinder-garten Let’s get started. Introduce the basic food guide principles necessary for a healthy start to the day. Become a wizard and create your own food arrangement from one of the food groups. Make your own food pyramid.

Food for healthy bodies. Learn about food groups in a fun and creative way. Dive into the serving sizes and measure how much you need to eat. Explore the food pyramid. Learn about natural sources of sugar found in dry fruits and berries.

Take your magnifying glass to have a look at the nutritional value of food and the environmental impact from processing it. Go local! Explore your local food options. Be creative – discover foods from different cultures. What sticks to my teeth, stays on my teeth! Test the impact of oral health on overall well-being.

Welcome to the world of food science. Explore the food you eat through the ingredient list and nutrition facts tables. Have you ever seen a celebrity advertising a bunch of carrots or kale in a commercial? Don’t choose food by its cover but examine what is inside! Learn about the lasting influence of advertising and media on food choices.

Explore the common factors that influence eating habits and food choices. You are what you eat! How does active living and healthy eating work together? Be a role model and promote healthy eating and active living to others.
